ESC’s has completed and
commissioned of 8 plants with 9 cement production
lines.
There are 2 operated cement plants with the total
capacity of 6000 tons clinker per day or 2 MT
cement/year.
There are also 4 projects under construction, named
Shahr-e-kord, Zabol, Peyvand-e- Golestan and
Nahavand respectively in the Charmahal Bakhtiari,
Sistan & Balochestan, Golestan and Hamedan
provinces, with total capacity 12900 tons clinker
per day. Shahr-e-kord cement is expected to go into
operation by the beginning of 2007 and rest Projects
will come on-strean by the year 2008.
By that time Iran’s total production of cement will
reach about 54M tons a year. (About 4M tons of this
quantity will be produced by ESC).
Export
Terminal Facility: In the year 1997-98, while
Iran had about 1 MT surplus of cement which was
planned to be exported to world market, so the
necessity of the equipments and the facilities in
the I. R. Iranian ports was felt to ensure the
loading of cement in its best possible manner. So it
was the time for construction of a cement export
terminal called "Ehdas Payaneh" in Bandar Imam
Khomeini (BIK).
